Post-Installation Care
Here are 5 industry-recognized tips to help you get through the first month after your screen replacement. These suggestions are based on our 10 years experiences and public technical guides from industry leaders like iFixit, Mobile Defenders, and Repair.org, so you can trust they are proven and effective.
Physical Pressure Management
Avoid tight pockets for the first week. Aftermarket screens may have slightly different tolerances. The pressure from sitting can stress the flex cables at the bottom, leading to "ghost touch" or vertical lines.
Heat & Current Control
Avoid heavy gaming while charging in the first month. Aftermarket ICs often consume more power and generate more heat. Excessive heat can soften the frame adhesive or lead to thermal failure of the driver chip.
Cleaning Precautions
Never spray alcohol directly onto the screen. Aftermarket oleophobic coatings are thinner and can be stripped by alcohol. For LCDs, liquid seeping into the backlight layers will cause permanent white spots.
Case Selection
Use a case with raised edges. Aftermarket screens are often 0.1-0.2mm thicker than originals. A raised-edge case prevents the screen from directly touching surfaces, diffusing potential impact pressure.
System Adaptation Restart
Perform a manual restart once a week. iOS performs background checks on non-genuine parts, which can cause data lag. A weekly restart clears the cache and maintains touch responsiveness.
